June 27 Notes of Bible Studies (2)Before summarize this week’s studies, I am willing to put down some of my own words ahead. I know indeed in my heart that it is a long and tough journey to become Christians. Even for deciding to read Load, took such a long time to me. I do believe there is only one truth in this earth; the Lord’s word has convinced me comparing other theories so far. I put faith on him and will continue study him, in order to clarify all my enquiries, which is the only way to consolidate my relationship with Lord.
Main Notes: Study Colossians Chapter 3 Rules for Holy Living Abstracted Key Rules: 3.15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 3.16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 3.17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Rules for Households 3.18 Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 3.19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. 3.20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. 3.21 Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged. 3.22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favour, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. 3.23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. 3.24 Since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. 3.25 Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favouritism. 3.26Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven. Further Instructions 4.2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
4.3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4.6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. General Interpretations: That the rules which God teaches us. It can be seen Lord truly loves us; He does not only will to save his son for the heaven, but also intend to grant the happy life for our earthly lives. Follow the rules makes our life simple and easy with full of joys, such as the house holding rules evite further issues which could occur during our marriage time; obeying our earthly masters and try to win their favours actually offer us a hard-working attitude with no rebel or protest…Especially, 4.6 “full of grace” which means giving the forgiveness and undeserved favours to others makes us think more. According to 1 John 4.19 “We love because he first loved us”, it could see God’s love is generous and eternal. We pray to receive messages from God, to willing being embraced by his eternal and true love(Vertical of the Cross), and then we could flow this true love to others like friends and families (Horizontal of the Cross), while Jesus lives in us. Only this kind of love is eternal and true. Otherwise, the love will be fake which is imitated from God could not last longer. The end of this week's notes. June 21 Notes of The Bible Studies (1)19/07/2007 Today was my first time to join the Bible Study. My heart felt so comfortable and peaceful afterward. I would love to share my notes with you, with all of my friends. God will bless you with all the best. I will pray for all of you. Note One. Pray in Your Spirit & in Your Truth Actually there is no certain “right” why to talk to God. However, when we talk to him, we will have to be concentrated and communicate in spirit and in truth. There is one recommended way to talk to our father-God. More people feel like it is helpful. Stage One: Conceptualize God Initially, we have to think about God; conceptualize him in our mind. To believe he is the one who made us, loves us, guides us and will give us eternal life. Stage Two: Lay down All Your Problems and Worries Talk to our father about your real worries, problems by putting your palms down. Stage Three: Receiving Reverse your palms up to pray for letting our father guide you, hint you and help you. “Hold me close Key Note: Willing to Meet the Difficulties and Sufferings in Our Lives Human beings are with full of sins, greed, vanity, arrogance, jealousy, self-centred, sense of superior…which are inevitable. Jesus crucified; he died for us. He paid the death punishment for us because of our sins. “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (New Testament, Galatians, 2(20)) God is generous and loves his sons. God will forget, will forget all the ugly things we have done. However, God is like other fathers, he will discipline his sons if they have done something wrong because he loves them. We will grow during the suffering and difficulties which God gives to us. We will learn and behave ourselves as God wants us to be which the truth is. Don’t be scared and always keep our heads up; God plans a much better life for us as we always know. Through all the hardships and the tests which are given by God, we will see the rainbow, the harvest and the success as a more graceful individual. Let us pray for a better tomorrow. The end of the notes for this week. |
